Welcome back to the Online Orders Now blog! Our blog yesterday covered a few of the things that you can do to keep business booming this year, but we were only able to cover five things, and there are still so many others that you can do. In today’s blog, we will continue on this subject by providing you with additional things that you can work on, incorporate into your marketing, and more. So let’s get started.
Team Up With Other Local Businesses
In our last post, we talked a little bit about how important it is for local businesses to get involved with their community, and this next point that we’re going to touch on is very similar to it — but a little more fun. Collaboration is a major component to spreading the word and expanding business, and taking the chance to do this with one of the other local businesses that you support or want to work with is a great way to expand your customer base and get involved.
As a restaurant, it can be really fun to partner up with a brewery or vineyard in town. Doing a beer dinner or a wine pairing offer a chance for both businesses to bring their A-game to the event and can help you get the word out about your restaurant and the food you offer.
Get Reviews
Good reviews are one of the best ways for restaurant owners to make sure that the things being said about their business is good, and will continue to drive them, new customers. If you’re looking to boost your business, start to fight for more good reviews. Ask clients that are a part of your loyalty program if there’s any chance that they would leave a review.
There are so many different websites and apps that now offer the opportunity for review, so do your best to stay on top of as many of them as possible so that your restaurant looks good across the board. As people search for types of cuisine that they’d like to enjoy or restaurants that are open near them, they’ll also see all of the reviews that your customers have left.
If you are going to work on getting reviews for your business, then one thing that we suggest doing is taking some extra time to respond to the reviews that you’re getting — good and bad. These types of acts contribute to your reputation, and they give people an idea of what type of service you’ll offer them when they come in and enjoy your restaurant.
Consider Advertising
A lot of the approaches that we’ve talked about thus far have been very cautious with cost. We do our best to find organic ways to help you drive your business, but that doesn’t mean that there’s anything wrong with paying some money to get your name out, push events that you’re hosting, or anything of the sort.
If you’re a new business that’s still working on building a strong foundation for your restaurant, then paying for some advertisements might be exactly what you need to ensure that your website is visible when people are online, and your name is seen in local papers or newsletters when people are receiving them on a weekly basis.
Showcase Your Menu
Every restaurant is going to provide you with a meal, but what about the food that you’re offering makes it a place that customers should stop in and try? Have you ever asked yourself this question before? The chance is that you have asked yourself this and it’s the reason that you chose to open a restaurant in the first place.
A lot of those little things can be found in your menu. The ingredients that are incorporated into meals and the different types of dishes that you’ve perfected are reasons that people should stop in and enjoy your food. So showcase them!
Whether it’s through social media or email marketing, find a way to share your favorite dishes and unique little recipes with people. These items are what get the conversation started and winds up bringing people in to try your restaurant for the first time. Before you know it, you’ve got regulars.
